"BEYOND OUR CONTROL" SPOOFS HIGH SCHOOL PLAYS

The annual spring play of mythical Eisenhower High School--a Beyond Our Control tradition--will be featured on the eighth edition of the weekly satirical revue for television, scheduled to be seen Saturday (March 23) at 5:00 PM EST on Channel 16.

"Crossroads `74," an original drama by the Eisenhower Senior Class, is a modern morality play, an allegorical confrontation between youth and the Forces of Good and Evil. Featured are Danny Lakin as Billy, Don Fields as Mr. Future, and Kevin Zimmerman as Death.

In another skit, Channel One, Beyond Our Control's archetypical local TV station, will present a new show, "The Channel One Coffee House." Kate Doherty and Steve Hawks host the local talent showcase, which will feature local pantomimist Marcel Marzinski, Colonel Burm's Educated Dogs, and Latin song stylists Julio and Jose.

Rounding out the show is a sales pitch for a new book "Ripoff's Believe it or Don't." Randy Rhinehart is the pitcher.

Beyond Our Control, now in its seventh season on Channel 16, is directed by Randy Rhinehart, Diane Werts, and Tim Hanlon; Keith Kepler is the student production manager.
