"BEYOND OUR CONTROL" SPOOFS WAR MOVIES
 

The guts and glory World War II movies of the `40s will be parodied on the next edition of Beyond Our Control, Saturday (March 30) at 5:00 PM EST on Channel 16, when the student-produced satirical revue premieres "Over Where?"

"Over Where?" tells the story of Private Buddy, a young American whose honeymoon is interrupted by the outbreak of hostilities on December 7 1941. Private Buddy enlists, joins a special paratroop unit, and is sent on a secret mission behind enemy Lines.

Don Fields plays the hero, Private Buddy. Others featured in the cast are Randy Rhinehart as General Passion; Dave Simkins as The Kid; Steve Wyant as Sloppsy, the Company Clown; Tom Mantke as the Company Cook, Cookie; Pat Pritchett as Father Madonna; Keith Kepler as Sgt. Tuffy; and Rick Xaver as the Company Medic.

In another skit, Channel One's own talk show--"Tittle Tattle"--examines "Socio-Economtc Realignment in the Common Market". Randy Rhinehart plays the host of the show, Buddy Dean. His guests include Steve Wyant, Matt Janowski, and Chuck Mueller.

This is the ninth edition of Beyond Our Control for its seventh season on Channel 16.
