In the summer of 1976 Phil Patnaude set out with his Super 8mm camera to document a time and a feeling that was "Beyond Our Control". With the help of Greg Sayre he did just that. Were we really that young? |
Part 1 (RealMedia format 56k) A Very Nice TV Show Part 1 of a 10 part series. Phil Patnaude and Greg Sayre's 1977 documentary on Beyond Our Control. This chapter's runtime is approximately 5 minutes. |
Part 2 Phil Patnaude and Greg Sayre's 1977 BOC Documentary. Feel free to cringe when Kate Doherty is pulled from Pinhook Lagoon with a glass-gashed foot. |
Part 3 Even Nicer In Part 3... Parties, the fascination with Meg Bryan continues, and notice Larry Karaszewski with his Super 8 camera at the Fall '76 recruiting session. |
Part 4 A Very Nice Serial This edition of Phil and Greg's BOC Documentary contains rare footage of a lost BOC classic: Tarzan. Filmed off a television you'll see Chris Dudley and Dave Simkins in roles intended for Jim Poyser and Kate Doherty. Look for Kevin Fye and don't miss Joe Dundon in a rare cameo. Also we attend a Christmas party at Dave's and see some commercials. One for the Marines. Confluences continue: Terrorists on Larry's doc, Marines on Phil's. |
Part 5 The Fun Continues Glimpse bits of "The Miss Head Stuck in a Wall Contest," "The Fitzpanties," "Dolly Hospital," and "Family Freud." |
Part 6 Rex Bontrager! Lots of backstage stuff here. Phil Frank, Anne Pethe, Ellen and Ed, Joe and Chris, and Lynn Lodyga. Oh, and Rex Bontrager! |
Part 7
The Capri. Not the restaurant, Dave's car. And the JA Center. It burned and we headed out for a beer. A Drewry's beer. |
Part 8
We Were Animated Anne Pethe in her most memorable role. There there's "The Abe Lincoln Show," "The Michiana Animation Festival," and a party at Dave William's house. Man, all we did was party. |
Part 9
Parties and Awards Yeah, that's right. We partied and we won national recognition for it. See Laura Lea Keyes get chased, Meg Bryan in a bikini (again), and Kate Doherty win some JA award thingy for being teen-a-rific! And is that Mr. Hamilton showing off his plaque? |
